Netsling often features themes of anti-establishment, anti-conservative and features themes of oppression faced by queer people, especially trans woman.
I would also consider the whole culture of creating your own websites through services like neocities (wow! That's the name of the show!) as a sort of counter-cultural reaction to santization and corporization of internet part of netsling culture.
Tho in my opinion its hard to define netsling with a simple checklist of themes and asthethics, you know it when you see it. Netsling art has that...Something, that magic, a certain je ne sais quoi if you will.
Basically what I'm going at here is that i'm not trying to put myself in a role of a objective arbitrar of all netsling, i'm just writing about what I think is cool and what I'm passionate about, that's it really :p
